PinDrop Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 4, 2026

I'm Connor Joyce, the person who made PinDrop. This is a straightforward rundown of what the app collects, what it does with that information, and what options you have. PinDrop is a golf-round logging app that calculates strokes gained using GPS data.

1. What I collect

When you sign in and start using PinDrop, a few pieces of information are stored:

What I don't collect: advertising IDs, crash reports, analytics events, contacts, photos, health data, or any kind of device fingerprint. PinDrop doesn't track you across other apps or websites, and there are no ads.

2. How that information is used

All of it is used purely to make the app work — signing you in, saving your rounds, running the strokes-gained math, choosing the right baseline for those calculations, and showing you your stats. I don't sell your data and I don't share it for marketing.

3. Where your data lives

Your account and rounds are stored in Google Firebase, specifically Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Firebase is run by Google and acts as a processor on my behalf; their handling of the data is covered by Google's Firebase privacy documentation.

When you search for a course, the app queries GolfCourseAPI.com to pull in public course details like name, pars, ratings, and slope. No personal information about you is included in those requests.

That's the full list. Your data isn't shared with anyone else.

4. Deleting your data

You can delete any individual round from inside the app, and that deletion is immediate.

If you want your entire account gone — profile, rounds, shots, saved bag, everything — email me at steelcity2003@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and I'll delete it from Firebase right away.

5. Children

PinDrop isn't aimed at kids under 13 and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone in that age range. If you think that's happened, email me and I'll take care of it.

6. Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data I have about you, correct it, or have it deleted — just email steelcity2003@gmail.com. If you live in the EU, UK, or California you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, and I'll honor those.

7. Security

Traffic between the app and Firebase is encrypted with standard TLS. Sign-in uses the OAuth tokens that Apple or Google hand back — PinDrop never sees or stores your Apple ID or Google password.

8. Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, I'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, where it makes sense, surface the update in-app the next time you open it. Using the app after a change means you're okay with the updated policy.
